Two days ago, I posted that we’d found a dead banded water snake near the nest site where we’ve been observing snakes for almost 10 years. Though the dead snake looked smaller than the one we’ve seen over the years, its proximity to the nest gave me reason to assume it might be the same one.
Today, I was able to verify that the big old snake we’ve been visiting at this site is still there — alive! Here are a few photos from this afternoon’s bike ride on the Clark’s Creek Greenway.
